LearnPass: Vocabulary BuilderOperated by District 22 Agency Inc.Last updated: June 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LearnPass ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the LearnPass mobile application and the learnpass.ai website (collectively, the "Service").

By using LearnPass, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account using Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use Supabase as our
authentication provider to securely manage your account.

Learning Data

We collect data about your vocabulary learning activity, including words studied, self-rated responses (I knew it, Almost, I didn't know), spaced repetition scheduling data, pack progress and mastery percentages, streak and session history, and banked minutes earned and used. This data is used to personalize your learning experience and power your stats and progress reports.

App Blocking Preferences

LearnPass uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls) on iOS and Android's UsageStats and Accessibility Service to manage app blocking. We store your list of blocked apps and blocking preferences locally on your device. We do not transmit the names or identifiers of your blocked apps to our servers.

AI Generated Content

When you add custom words or generate word packs, your input (the word or topic selection) is sent to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o-mini) to generate definitions, example sentences, and related content. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policy. We do not send any personally identifiable information to OpenAI. Only the word or topic string is transmitted.

When you select a native language for translated definitions, translation requests are also processed through OpenAI's API. Translated definitions are cached locally on your device to avoid repeated API calls.

Subscription Information

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your App Store or Google Play purchase information to validate and manage your subscription status. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google.

Analytics and Usage Data

We use PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to understand how users interact with LearnPass and to improve the Service. PostHog collects app lifecycle events (such as when the app is opened or closed), feature usage patterns, device identifiers generated by PostHog for analytics purposes, and general device and platform information.

Your PostHog analytics data is linked to your account via your email address so that we can analyze usage patterns across sessions. We use this data solely for internal product analytics, including evaluating feature effectiveness, identifying issues, and planning improvements. We do not share PostHog analytics data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

PostHog may also process your IP address to derive approximate (coarse) location data at the country or region level. This location data is used for aggregate analytics only.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and maintain the LearnPass service, manage your account and subscription, generate personalized vocabulary content through AI, calculate and display your learning statistics, sync your learning progress, analyze usage patterns to improve the Service, and communicate with you about service updates or support requests.

Data Storage and Security

Your learning data (spaced repetition state, translations, pack data) is cached locally on your device using AsyncStorage. Account authentication is managed through Supabase with industry-standard encryption. Analytics data is processed and stored by PostHog on their infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate and improve the Service:

Supabase (authentication and backend), RevenueCat (subscription management), OpenAI (AI content generation, word and topic inputs only), PostHog (product analytics and usage tracking), Apple and Google (payment processing and app distribution).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data Retention

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. Analytics data is retained by PostHog according to their data retention policies. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our servers within 30 days. Locally cached data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

Children's Privacy

LearnPass is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, request a copy of your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and Canada, where our service providers operate. By using LearnPass, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on learnpass.ai and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
